“THE CANADIANS ARE INVADING–the National Ballet of Canada, that is–and we like it. Starting on July 28th for five shows at the NY State Theatre as part of the Lincoln Center Festival, the Company will present Christopher Wheeldon’s sweeping, epic interpretation of Shakespeare’s “The WInter’s Tale”, which received a generally rave review (will wonders never cease?!) from “The NY Times” chief dance critic Alastair Macaulay when it was performed at the Kennedy Center last winter. He also lauded the world-class Artists leading that cast, who will also perform on Friday, July 29th: Evan McKie (“eloquent interpretation of Leontes”), Jurgita Dronina (middle), Svetlana Lunkina (top), and Francesco Gabriele Frola (bottom).
